Statement From A.G. Schneiderman On Passover

NEW YORK – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman released the following statement on the eve of the Passover holiday:

“Tonight, Jewish families around the world will gather to retell the story of their liberation from bondage. Throughout the centuries, the story of Passover has been a celebration of hard-won freedom. However, it is also a reminder that oppression rears its head in every generation, and that we all have a responsibility to fight against hatred and bigotry. As our thoughts go out to the families affected by the shooting at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and Village Shalom, let us renew our commitment to combat cruelty wherever it persists and work toward healing our nation. Chag Sameach.”
