Administrative Services Bureau

The Administrative Services Bureau manages many core business-support operations to assist employees in carrying out the mission of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. These core operations include facilities management and security, records management, asset and inventory management, and mail and legal printing services.


Budget and Fiscal Management Bureau

The Budget and Fiscal Management Bureau provides services to the Office of the New York State Attorney General in four key areas: budget development, revenue accounting, procurement, and payment. The bureau works closely with staff and vendors to provide the variety of legal and administrative services required to fulfill our mission on a daily basis.


Human Resources Management Bureau

The Human Resources Management Bureau (HRMB) within the Division of Administration provides a full range of personnel management programs to the employees of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. The HRMB facilitates the recruitment and employment process, coordinates civil service examinations, and maintains personnel files.


Information Technology Bureau

The Information Technology Bureau sets the strategic direction for the use of technology across the Office of the New York State Attorney General; maintains operational continuity and security of systems, data, applications, websites, and telecommunications; and provides ongoing technology support to all other divisions and bureaus in support of the mission of the office.  


Office of Diversity & Inclusion

Attorney General Letitia James is dedicated to ensuring that the workforce of the Office of the New York State Attorney General reflects the people of New York. To advance this aim, in 2019 the Attorney General established the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion provides leadership and guidance with respect to all diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) matters within our office.

With the goal of fostering DEIA, in 2020 the Attorney General established the Diversity Committee. The Diversity Committee is made up of 18 members, with two members representing each of the nine divisions at the office. The Diversity Committee works with the office to increase recruitment and hiring of a diverse workforce, enhance employee engagement and retention, and foster inclusion and equity within all aspects of the office.

Practice Technologies Group

The Practice Technologies Group (PTG) provides litigation support and discovery services to the attorneys and legal support staff of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. PTG’s offering includes data collection and search consulting, data processing and hosting, analytics and technology-assisted review, review strategy and project management, and trial-presentation services.
