Statement From A.G. Schneiderman On Ethics Reform

ALBANY – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement on ethics reform:

“As I have said many times, there are only two paths forward on ethics: fundamental reform of the system, or more investigations, arrests and prosecutions that further erode public confidence. Today, after working with Governor Cuomo, the Legislature passed a reform passage that contains significant steps in the right direction. The people of New York are channeling their anger into a movement for bold reform, and I will continue to work alongside them to push for the systemic change we need.”
