Statement From Attorney General Andrew Cuomo

With his decision to appoint Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye to a second term leading our State's highest Court, Governor Eliot Spitzer today continues the legacy of one of the greatest public servants of our time.

Chief Judge Kaye has achieved an eminence unique to jurists of our generation.  Renowned for her integrity, wisdom, scholarship, and compassion, her place is secure as one of the most outstanding state court jurists in American legal history.  All New Yorkers are blessed by the continuation of her leadership as Chief Judge.
