Statement From New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo

I applaud Gov. Spitzer’s decision to nominate Judge Theodore T. Jones, Jr. to the state Court of Appeals. Judge Jones is a distinguished jurist who will bring a wealth of experience to the state’s highest court and is sure to build on its history of excellence. Governor Spitzer has made a well-reasoned selection from a field of fine candidates and I am pleased that the court will again begin to reflect some of the diversity that is representative of our state. I look forward to the Senate’s rapid confirmation of Judge Jones.
