Statement By A.G. Schneiderman On The Passing Of Chief Judge Kaye

NEW YORK—Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement on the passing of Chief Judge Kaye:

“Chief Judge Kaye was a world-class problem-solver, dedicated to making New York’s legal system work fairly for all people. Her dedication to innovation in our courts helped move New York closer to the ideal of equal justice under law. As the first woman chief judge of the state’s top court, Judge Kaye was dedicated to New York’s rich history of diversity and equality. Her devotion to the highest ideals of justice made her a great lawyer, judge, colleague, and role model for thousands of lawyers.”
