New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman released the following statement:

“Today, Jane finally got justice.

“But the fight is far from over.

“It’s outrageous that Jane needed to fight for the dignity to make this difficult decision – a decision that was hers alone to make.

“As we argued in our amicus brief earlier this week, the federal government cannot block any woman from exercising her constitutional right to an abortion.

“We will not allow President Trump’s radical agenda against women to gain traction in New York or anywhere in our country – and we stand ready to support every other Jane Doe fighting for the fundamental right to make her own health care decisions.”

Earlier this week, Attorney General Schneiderman led an amicus brief filed by 14 Attorneys General in support of Jane Doe.
