STATEMENT BY A.G. SCHNEIDERMAN IN OBSERVATION OF MEMORIAL DAY 

NEW YORK – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman released the following statement in observation of Memorial Day:

“Today we pay tribute to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom at home and abroad. It is because of their tremendous courage and strength that we have the fortune of living in a nation of democracy and opportunity. Words cannot express our full gratitude for their patriotism nor repay them for their service. We stand with the families and friends that have lost loved ones and share in their grief.

Let us take this opportunity to also honor those currently serving on the front lines and our veterans here at home. We are humbled by their selfless commitment to defend our country.”
