OAG Student Awards
A message for schools about the Attorney General's Student Awards program:
Attorney General Letitia James is pleased to continue her program to acknowledge the accomplishments of New York’s exceptional young people. In addition to the traditional Triple C Award, OAG has recently introduced the new Civic Ambassador Award.
The OAG invites schools to nominate outstanding students for two types of awards:
- Triple C (commitment, character, courage). Up to two students per school can receive this award for succeeding in academic pursuits, participating in community service, displaying leadership skills, or overcoming personal obstacles.
- Civic Ambassador. This award goes to one student from each school who has demonstrated a passion for and knowledge of civics and government.
Through their accomplishments and passion, these students provide us with hope for a brighter future. The Attorney General is honored to recognize New York’s students this year for their achievements.
How it works: These awards are open to all New York state students in all grades. Our office emails each school with information about accessing the online nomination portal in February. We follow up with email reminders periodically until the end of the school year. After you submit your nomination form, we will review the nomination materials and send you a certificate by the method you requested. Please allow at least two weeks for processing.
If your school has not received this letter, would like more information about the program, or would like the nomination link emailed to them, please contact us StudentAwards@ag.ny.gov or call our OAG Awards line at (518) 776-2355.
