Preliminary guidance comments and responses
The Office of the New York Attorney General (OAG) published guidance on the preclearance provisions of the John R. Lewis New York Voting Rights Act. The OAG published this guidance, which preliminarily identified the covered entities and practices in the act, on December 19, 2023.
The OAG accepted written questions and comments on the guidance until February 20, 2024.
