AG James Responds to SCOTUS Decision Allowing
Sandy Hook Families to Sue Remington

WASHINGTON D.C. – In response to the Supreme Court’s decision not to stop a lawsuit against Remington Arms Co. brought by families who lost loved ones in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, New York Attorney General Letitia James issued the following statement:

“The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to allow the lawsuit filed by families who lost loved ones in the Sandy Hook School shooting to proceed is a victory for justice. Because of the families’ concerted and persistent efforts, they are one day closer to having their day in court. I stand today, and each day forward, in solidarity with them and all families of victims of senseless acts of gun violence.”
