Attorney General James Demands Fair Treatment for CWA Workers on Strike in Buffalo
NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James released the following statement in support of the employees of Catholic Health System in Buffalo who are on strike:
“Every New Yorker deserves a fair wage and a safe work environment, and it’s unacceptable that Catholic Health System is refusing to provide these basic benefits to its workers. During the pandemic, these very hospital workers have put their lives on the line every day to save others and protect our communities, yet in return, they have been forced to deal with dangerous levels of understaffing and denied fair treatment. I stand in solidarity with all the members of CWA who are on strike and echo their demands for real pay, real support, and real safety. It’s time that Catholic Health System give these workers what they deserve.”
