Attorney General James Statement on the 20th Anniversary of September 11

NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James released the following statement on the 20th anniversary of the attacks on September 11th:

“Twenty years ago, New York and our entire nation were torn apart by an act of pure evil and hate. We will never forget the lives lost that day, the countless families devastated, and the heroic acts of so many first responders and everyday Americans who laid down their lives for those they never knew. In the face of our darkest moment, our humanity led us forward with the most powerful light. Twenty years later, we have rebuilt, but never recovered. There are still no words, no tributes, no actions that can end the pain and despair, but today, we come together as one community and one country to honor those we lost and those forever changed by that day.”
